Megalexis will provide you with a professional human-reviewed translation of your general content in Microsoft Word documents from English to French (CA).

What is it?

  • Professional human translation with a quality assurance (QA) human review.
  • English document translation into French (CA) only.
  • Translation is for general text only.
  • The source file must be Microsoft Word.
  • The final file will be delivered in Microsoft Word.
  • Basic Project management included.
    • Preparing the project
    • Confirming the project summary
    • Processing the files for machine translation
    • Assigning a professional translator and a second one to perform the QA.
    • Ensuring timely processing
    • Delivering the final project via our portal
  • Images containing text will not be processed.
  • Certified translation, is not available for this service. Neither medical, technical nor legal document types apply to this plan. Should you need them, chose the Supersized MegaHuman plan.

What do I pay?

  • Flat subscription fee of $1,500 per month (plus applicable taxes).

What do I get?

  • 7,500 word bank, per month.
  • Bonus: Get 10% more words for a 12-month commitment (9000 more words for the year).
    • If you need more let’s talk about the MegaCustom plan by chat or email.
  • One project can have several files. Each project will use a minimum of 250 words from your bank.
  • Production cadence: maximum 1,500 words per business day.
  • Delivery time is confirmed only once the project summary is accepted (during business hours).

How does it work?

  • Once subscribed, you will receive a transaction confirmation email.
  • A project manager will send you another email with your client platform login credentials and provide you with instructions to upload your first project.
  • Once submitted, the project manager will review the request, confirm your word count usage, plan a delivery timeframe and send you the project summary for approval by email.
  • Once the project summary is approved, work begins and the wordcount is consumed from your word bank.
  • At the end of each subscription cycle, the remaining words in your bank are lost. They cannot be transferred nor shared.

What do I need to share with Megalexis to ensure success?

Our project manager will ask you these questions. If you have the information all ready when you submit your project, it will move things along faster. The more references you provide, the better the output; and the better the translation, the bigger you'll smile!

  1. Text context: Can you specify the subject and purpose of the text to be translated? For example, is it a business document (contract, company policy, meeting minutes, etc.), a literary text (excerpt from a novel, poem, song, etc.) or an informal conversation?
  2. Translation tone and style: What translation tone and style do you prefer? Do you want a formal, technical, creative or other kind of translation?
  3. Text length: What is the length of the text to be translated (number of words or pages)?
  4. Delivery deadline: What is the desired deadline for the translation?
  5. Specific examples: Can you provide any phrases or terms that require special attention during translation?
  6. Linguistic preferences: Do you have any preferences for particular terms or expressions in the target language?
  7. Reference documents: Do you have English and French versions of a previous translation of the same document, or any documents or websites related to the subject?
  8. Confidentiality: Are there any specific confidentiality or security requirements for handling the text to be translated?
  9. Terminology glossaries: Lists of domain-specific terms with their equivalents in the target language.
  10. Style guides: Documents defining the style and tone rules to follow for the translation.
  11. Previous translations: Earlier versions of similar documents already translated, to ensure terminological and stylistic consistency.
  12. Reference documents: Texts or articles related to the subject of the document to be translated, in both languages, to better understand the context and terminology.
  13. Technical manuals or guides: Documents detailing technical specifications or procedures, useful for technical translations.
  14. Internal policies and procedures: Internal company or organizational documents, to ensure the translation complies with established standards and practices.
  15. Communication samples: Samples of correspondence, reports, or other communications in the same field, to understand preferred tones and styles.
  16. Marketing material: Brochures, websites, advertisements, etc., for marketing-related translations, to maintain brand consistency.
